Will the outside of the unit get hot?Although the outside of the unit will heat up during the cooking process, the touch screen and pan handle will remain cool to touch.
Do I need to add oil to air-fry?Although oil is not required, we recommend starting with one tablespoon and adjusting for personal preference, or referencing the recipe for proper oil amounts.  
Is the cooking pan nonstick?Yes. The cooking pan is non-stick and has a nano-ceramic coating.
What are the dimensions of the air fryer?The Ninja Air Fryer is approximately H34.5 W27.9 D33.8cm and weighs approximately 4.4kg.
What is the capacity of the cooking pan?The cooking pan holds up to 3.8L. It can comfortably cook 900g of French fries. 
What is the wattage?This unit is 1550 watts. 
What is the temperature range of the unit?The temperature ranges from 40°C (in Dehydrate) to 210°C (in Air Fry). 
Is the exterior made of plastic?Yes. The unit is BPA-free plastic.  
What is the cooking pan made out of?The cooking pan and crisper plate are both made out of aluminum with a PTFE coating. 
Where is the vent located on the unit?The exhaust vent is located on the back side of the unit. This area will heat up during the cooking process. Be sure to keep the unit at least 15cm away from any other surfaces. 
How long is the power cord?The power cord is approximately 80cm long. 
Can you use parchment paper in the cooking pan?Yes. It is safe to use parchment paper in the air fryer cooking pan. 
Can I put aluminum foil in the cooking pan?Yes. It is safe to use aluminum foil, and it is suggested in some recipes. 
Can I pull out the cooking pan to check on food while the unit is cooking?Yes, we recommend checking on your food regularly throughout the cooking process. Simply pull out the cooking pan and shake or rotate the food. When you are done, slide the cooking pan back into place to continue cooking to your desired level of browning or crispiness. Please note that the timer will continue to run while the cooking pan is removed. 
Where is the power button located?The power button is located on the bottom left side of the unit.

What are the timer increments?The timer increments vary depending on the function:
Air Fry: 1-minute increments up to 1 hour.
Roast: 1-minute increments for the first hour, followed by 5-minute increments for the next 3 hours.
Dehydrate: 15-minute increments up to 12 hours.
Reheat: 1-minute increments up to 1 hour. 
Does the unit pause when I pull out the cooking pan?Yes. If you simply pull the cooking pan out of the unit, the timer will pause the count down and the fan will stop. To restart, simp;y reinsert the cooking pan into the base. 
Can this unit do more than air fry?Yes. The Ninja Air Fryer can also roast, reheat and dehydrate food. 
How do I know if the unit is on?When the unit is powered on, the digital display will show 0:00.
Do I need to preheat the unit?For best results, we recommend that you preheat the unit for 3 minutes before adding your ingredients. To preheat, simply add an additional 3 minutes to your total cook time and allow the unit to come up to temperature before adding ingredients. 
Do I have to shake the cooking pan while cooking?Yes. It is important to shake or rotate your food for consistent browning and crispiness. For best results, please follow the recipe or cooking chart to find out how often you should shake or rotate your ingredients while cooking.  
How do I set the timer?To set the cooking time, use the Time up and down arrows on the right side of the digital display.  You can change the time at any point throughout the cooking process with the up and down arrows. 
How do I set the temperature?To set the cooking temperature, use the Temp up and down arrows on the left side of the digital display. You can adjust the temperature at any time throughout the cooking process with the up and down arrows.
